Why UNESCO has created Scenes and Sounds of My City
Despite living in an increasingly globalised society, with news and pictures
from the television and the internet linking us to the rest of the world,
many of us still have very little idea about the everyday lives of people in
other countries.
This website provides an opportunity to discover what it would be like to live in another city.
This project presents the high rises of Hong Kong,
the castle of Kilkenny, the chess tables of Cambridge,
Massachusetts, the cybercafes of Paris, the beaches of Melbourne
and the Pacific island city of Suva – all through the eyes of young people.
To get started on making your contribution, first check that your school is on the list on the right
of this screen. Then, start the Creative Process on the left of this screen.
